Artist Statement
My work seeks to understand the ways in which we knowingly or unknowingly limit ourselves through distorted perspectives. Although my projects reflect on modes of self-limitation, they also explore the experience of letting go of embedded constructs in search of greater freedom.

I create paintings with brush, palette knife, and other tools, sometimes paired with or containing writings. Drawings, prints and sculpture add variety to my practice.

Though we cannot change the past, our relationship to that past can change. And when it does, the story becomes hope to share. Things we have been holding onto, we find we do not need. And having released limitation, we can be our infinite selves.
